Scarsdale High School Fitness Center

Project Scope:
KG+D collaborated with Scarsdale High School to renovate and expand their existing 2800sf fitness center. The project maximized underutilized storage space to create a 6200sf fitness center that more appropriately accommodates the needs of the high school’s programming and the student body as a whole. The fitness center includes open spaces for instruction, leveled circuit training, a central cardio area and new athletic offices. The new space also features a hung open grid ceiling, smart technology and occupancy sensor lighting controls.

Yale University, Carol Roberts Field House

Yale University

Project Scope:
KG+D collaborated with Yale University on a fieldhouse for their field hockey and softball teams. The building is the first of its kind at Yale–a comprehensive space that meets the needs of two women’s teams funded by a woman. Situated between Johnson Field and Corral Field, the 5,900-square-foot facility includes locker rooms, a training room, a satellite coaches’ office, a team meeting space and a second-story observation roof deck featuring a glass-walled event space.

Trinity Pawling, Smith Field House

Trinity Pawling School

Project Scope:
The project included the addition of approximately 12,000sf with a new multi-use field house, main entrance and lobby space, an alumni room for gatherings and events, a terrace space, new office space and a training room. The project also included the renovation of the existing Hubbard Gymnasium. A second phase of the project will renovate locker rooms and the squash courts and create a new fitness center.

KG+D collaborated with the Shorehaven Golf Club on a two-phased transformation of their campus facilities, encompassing a complete renovation of the main clubhouse and surrounding site, the pool house and the tennis pavilion.

Fairview Country Club

Project Scope:
KG+D collaborated with the Fairview Country Club to complete a building conditions survey and master planning process. The result of this process developed a plan that included additional outdoor dining, renovatinon of the main dining room, improved lounge and a new bar, an additional service kitchen, updated main lobby and new lower lobby and updating all interior finishes on the main level.

Brewster CSD Athletic Fields/Facilities

Project Scope:
KG+D planned and designed a new synthetic turf field for Brewster Central School District including bleacher seating for 1,100 home spectators and 300 visitors, field lighting, score board, lacrosse netting and storm water retention system. A second phase of the project included the construction of a new concession stand that was designed to be a three-season building and includes restroom facilities, a space for athletic team/concession sales and an adjacent fenced in outdoor space for grilling.

The Harvey School – Athletic Center

Project Scope:
As part of a phased Master Plan for campus development, KG+D completed a new Athletic Center for The Harvey School. The new energy-efficient, high performance Athletic Center includes a gymnasium, fitness center, training facilities, faculty offices and multiple team locker rooms.

Trinity Pawling School Athletic Field/Tennis Courts

Project Scope:
KG+D planned and designed a new 86,000sf synthetic turf field outfitted with a bleacher/pressbox combination and lighting for night games. The David N. Coratti Field replaced an unleveled natural grass field and was relocated to provide for a new West campus entry and ample athletic facility parking. The tennis center includes nine hard-surface courts, viewing areas and a gazebo encompassing storage areas and restroom facilities.

Dobbs Ferry UFSD Athletic Field

Project Scope:
KG+D completed a turf field replacement project as part of a larger capital project for Dobbs Ferry Union Free School District. These improvements included a replacement synthetic turf field with 5 sport inlays, new parking, scoreboard and bleacher system.

Wilton Family YMCA

Client:
Wilton Family YMCA

Project Scope:
The KG+D team has completed the planning work with the Wilton Family YMCA to re-imagine their facility. The project involves the demolition and reconstruction of the central core of the building involving a detailed phasing process, 2-Story addition that connects the gym, pools, and fitness areas, and circulation, parking, drop-off improvements. The project is scheduled to commence construction in summer 2018.

White Plains High School Athletic Fields

White Plains Public Schools

Project Scope:
KG+D collaborated with White Plains Public Schools on athletic facilities projects that included the installation of two artificial turf athletic fields at two different sites, two stadiums including 1,300 bleacher seats at White Plains High School, press boxes, locker facilities, lighting, track and field events and installation and the reconstruction of tennis courts.
