Team Promotions: A Legacy of Growth from Within

KG+D has promoted six team members, including two to Associate Principal and four to Senior Associate, reinforcing its commitment to cultivating leadership from within.
At KG+D, careers are shaped through mentorship and long-term growth, often beginning early and evolving into leadership roles. This approach has fostered strong retention, deep institutional knowledge, and a collaborative environment where teams grow together.

Promoted to Associate Principal

Ryan Carper, AIA
Since joining KG+D in 2014 as an Architectural Designer, Ryan has advanced through the firm, earning his license and being named Associate in 2024. Known for his technical precision and unassuming leadership, he leads the firm’s internal “Monday Workshops,” supporting knowledge-sharing across teams. His experience includes Hutchinson Elementary School in Pelham, the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School in Yonkers, and the ongoing reconstruction of Twin Towers Middle School for Middletown ECSD.

 

Sarah Davis, AIA, LEED AP
Sarah Davis joined KG+D in 2021, bringing a global design perspective shaped by work across the U.S. and Southeast Asia, along with academic teaching experience. She is an active member of the Sustainability Committee and an advocate for environmentally responsible design. She has managed large-scale projects for Croton-Harmon UFSD and is currently leading additions and renovations for Pelham UFSD’s Siwanoy Elementary School. Her collaborative, multidisciplinary approach supports the firm’s design excellence.

 

Promoted to Senior Associate

Andrew Allison
Andrew Allison brings deep construction expertise that strengthens the connection between design and execution. Since joining KG+D in 2016, he has helped deliver projects with precision and integrity. With decades of experience, including running his own construction company, Andrew is known for his calm, solutions-oriented approach. His work spans more than $100 million in school projects, maintaining design intent while navigating complex site conditions.

 

Brian Dunn, AIA, NCARB
With experience spanning design, construction, and education, Brian Dunn brings a broad perspective to KG+D. He is a trusted resource for technical insight and problem-solving. His work includes the Sollazzo Recreation Center for the Town of Harrison and district-wide projects for Croton-Harmon UFSD, Clarkstown CSD, and Nyack UFSD. His versatility and collaborative mindset support a wide range of project types.

 

Julie Faiber, ASID, IIDA, NCIDQ
Julie Faiber brings more than two decades of experience to KG+D’s interiors practice, with a design approach grounded in creativity, empathy, and clarity. Her global perspective informs thoughtful, refined spaces. As Design Leader, she has contributed to community-focused and educational projects while fostering a collaborative design environment.

 

 

Andrew Herring
Andrew Herring represents the next generation of architectural innovation at KG+D. Over the past decade, he has developed expertise in 3D visualization, modeling, and emerging technologies, leading the firm’s VR and digital rendering capabilities. He has contributed to projects including the Ossining Children’s Center, Wilton Y, and the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, and is currently managing additions and renovations at three Darien Public Schools elementary schools.
